The Create Web Page tool enables web pages to be automatically generated from a CrimeLink™
case. This feature allows you to easily share your information with others using
any HTML 4.0 capable browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, across your local
or wide area network. Since this information is contained in HTML files,
anyone with access to the network can view them, regardless of whether or not they
have CrimeLink™ installed. Additionally, this feature provides a means of
creating dynamic presentations for use in group discussions or in the courtroom.
The Create Web Page tool will generate an index file that is the starting point
for the new site. On this page is the basic case information, including title, case
number, case description, analyst, date published, and links to all available analytical
products. Additionally, a report is generated for each person and entity in the
case. These reports are accessible by clicking on the corresponding graphical item
on any of the included products (i.e., Association Matrix, Link Diagram, Time Event
Charts, or Telephone Toll Chart). In other words, CrimeLink produces a page that
is more than just a picture; it has all of the available information behind it.
